The hero monument and the tenth of November museum celebrates the victory of the local resistances fighters and commemorates the heroic battle of the 10 november 1954. The museum, officially opened 2000, is located inside the Hero Monument complex and is one of the main tourist attraction in Surabaya.
The museum features a recording of the fiery voice of Bung Tomo speaking to the people to ignite their passion for independence. Several statistic dioramas display the heroic action of Surabaya’s youths, who, armed only with sharpened bamboos, fought a winning battles against the oppressors.
