Museum Nasional

Founded in 1778 as the oldest and the biggest museum has been preserving Indonesia cultural heritage for two centuries. It boasts over 141,000 items from various places in Indonesia and its neighboring countries.
Among the collection are artifacts from the prehistoric era and cultural exhibits accompanied by their historical description. One of them is a necklace decorated with two diamond stones bearing a motif of two intertwined dragons, which symbolizes fertility, other featured items of the collection include ceramics, numismatics heraldry, archeology, geography and ethnography.
